This year has brought a lot of changes to our family farm. The year started off as a hard one with my father, age 86, developing health problems and then us loosing him in June. We all know he is in a happier place now and once again with the wife he loved for 56 years.
Mark and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary by bringing in KuneKune pigs to our farm. We are excited about our new arrivals (Justin, Ginger, Maryanne, and Miley) and hope for piglets in December. Will keep you posted on that!
We are awaiting the arrival of our shetland lambs who should arrive any day! We are preparing our cashmere and kiko bucks for breeding for spring/summer kids.
Morgan, our daughter, is excited as she transitions from a "kid" to a teenager with her upcoming 13th birthday this November. I am not sure how she got to be 13 already! She is a great kid and really enjoys the animals on the farm, ESPECIALLY the new pigs. She has been working with our new boar, Justin, on his harness training!
We hope to hear from you all soon!
